Cherubim

      "The Gift of Life"

On Tuesday, September 15, 1998 we lost our son, Scott Anthony Horvath, who was a founding cherub. He is now a cherubim. According to the ancient scholars, cherubim means "one who intercedes", Scott has donated his organs to help others live a better life.

Scott was given to us on January 11, 1972.

God gave us the "Gift of Life" that day
our son Scott was born
happy and healthy we always do pray
thanking the Lord and never forlorn.

A child gives new meaning
to husband and wife
Mommy and Daddy
for the rest of his life.

Many happy moments
with a special sparkle in the eye
treasures and memories
that money can not buy.

No matter how long
all the days and the years
we do all we can
to keep them from tears.

One day something happens
awakening our worse fears
God calls our child to join him
and leave us in tears.

A Miracle in our hands
the "Gift of Life" we do hold
to save another's dying child
who's parents behold.

"Flesh and blood cannot inherit the
kingdom of God"
in our moment of deepest sorrow
we must help save the life of a child
with a yes and a nod.

Giving God's "Gift of Life" to another
will help us rejoice some day
and help heal the hole in our hearts
to God we must pray.

Saving the life of a child
is a blessing from God we do say
for now another child is part of us
in happiness and play.

Many happy moments
with a special sparkle in the eye
treasures and memories
that money can not buy.

We Love You Scott
